Erica Schoder

Erica Schoder is director of finance and operations at R Street. Prior to joining R Street, Erica was for eight years the owner and operator of Epilogue Book Co.

An independent bookstore nestled in the mountains of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Epilogue was beloved by the Steamboat community for its knowledgeable booksellers, cozy space, extensive events and free coffee, tea and wi-fi. The store frequently hosted authors on national book tours and was a particular favorite of outdoor adventure authors.  It also was noteworthy for its participation in the annual Literary Sojourn festival.

Erica’s previous experience includes writing for the Daily Iowan, serving on the Main Street Steamboat Springs Board of Directors and working as a bicycle messenger in Seattle, Wash. She worked for three years as a broadcast engineer with WSUI, a National Public Radio affiliate in Iowa City, Iowa, where she engineered a remote show from the Prairie Lights Bookstore.

Erica lives in Washington, D.C. and holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Iowa. She is an avid mountaineer, skier, mountain biker and antiquarian book collector.
