About Ryan Crow

Ryan Crow is the director of Policy Operations and Strategy at the R Street Institute where he oversees program management across the policy portfolio and leads strategic planning efforts.

Previously, Ryan served as the executive vice president of Overseas Strategic Consulting, a firm specializing in project management and strategic communications supporting economic, judicial, regulatory and national security sector initiatives. While with the International Republican Institute, Ryan provided training on foreign policy formulation and political organization in Thailand. He also conducted research, taught and developed curricula at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington. Ryan has served as a consultant to the government on proliferation security issues, and has worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science.

Ryan received a master’s in Political Science (Security Studies) from MIT in 2003 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College in 2002 with majors in biology and anthropology. Ryan also holds a certificate from the London School of Economics and Political Science where he studied government, international relations and political anthropology in 2000-2001.

Ryan lives with his wife, two daughters, two goofy dogs and two cats in Havertown, Pennsylvania.
