News Derek Chauvin sentenced for the murder of George Floyd

It has been over a year since the death of George Floyd, and today, former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison for his murder. This will not bring Mr. Floyd back, nor will it repair the heartache felt by his family, but it should provide us all with some comfort and confidence that, although far from perfect, our justice system is working.
