About Nicholas
Nicholas Thielman is a federal government affairs associate at the R Street Institute, where he supports the organization’s engagement with Congress and federal agencies. In this role, he tracks legislation, conducts policy research, manages stakeholder outreach, and contributes to external communications and advocacy efforts across a broad range of policy areas.
Before joining R Street, Nicholas was a research associate at the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. His writing has appeared in National Review, RealClearMarkets, Cato at Liberty, and Regulation magazine, among other outlets.
He holds a master’s degree in political science from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international politics from Ashland University. Nicholas resides in Arlington, Virginia.
