Former Northeast Region Manager, Government Affairs
About Sarah
Sarah Wall was the Northeast Government Affairs region manager. She managed R Street’s advocacy priorities in state legislatures from Maryland to Maine. She educated legislators in the Northeast on policy solutions across all of R Street’s issue areas through one-on-one meetings, legislative testimony, coalition letters, press conferences, op-eds, policy papers and other similar tactics.
Most recently, Sarah was the coalitions & legislative outreach manager at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), where she managed external relations and partnerships with other free-market organizations and managed recruitment and engagement of approximately one-third of the ALEC legislative delegation. Prior to her position at ALEC, she was a government relations manager at a small nonprofit based in Baltimore, Maryland, where she focused on juvenile justice reform in the state capitol, specifically for youth charged automatically in the adult criminal justice system.
Sarah earned a MA in political management from George Washington University in 2020, and a BA from the College of William & Mary, with a dual major in history and Russian & post-Soviet studies.
Sarah lives in New Haven, Connecticut and is a devoted pet-sitter of her friends’ dogs, including Lucy, Silver, Gus and Lizzie.
